Great little walk, there is 2 parts to the reserve, you can walk through the woods finding pebbles with drawings and designs on which my little boy absolutely loved and it kept him occupied whilst walking with something to look out for and it’s gave us the idea of him designing a few pebbles and hiding them around spots. The second part is just before u get on the car park with black gates, this is where you will find the reservoir and clay pit. Car park did get really busy Sunday morning but plenty of spaces.
Pleasant wooded reserve in the heart of the Black Country, mainly left to nature. Nothing extra special
Fancied a new location for a Sunday walk, so ended up here.Surprisingly big given its location in residential area, with lots of paths leading off and around the three main trails.Sculptures on the one trail were great and a nice bonus to see, as were the hidden decorated rocks and book backs... love these things that have caught on Main trails well maintained and looked after, lots of little ones making it easy to get lost (especially for a newby like me!) Worth a peek at the reservoir too, peaceful and still this morning Will be back to do a longer trail once I've figured my bearings more as want to go up to Daphne Pool
Visited for the first time today,,several pathways to choose from, sculptures to find, Dragon, dog, owl, frog, Dragonflies. My son enjoyed finding the painted stones that others leave hidden around the woods to find. We will take some ourselves next time. Thoroughly enjoyed it,,will visit again.
Enjoyed a walk here recently. It's quite close to Merry Hill so easy to combine with a shopping trip. It doesn't feel as if it's in an industrialised area and the walks are wlel marked. Download a map before you go.
